Directional control valves

The task of directional control valves is to shut off or open different lines from each other and to create constantly changing line connections. In this way, the direction of action of pressures and volume flows is influenced and thus the consumer (cylinder or hydraulic motor) is controlled with regard to start, stop and direction of movement. Actuation types: Solenoid-operated, mechanical (lever or cam), hydraulic, pneumatic, pilot-operated (electrically controlled, hydraulically actuated). Types: poppet valves, spool valves.

Stop valves

The purpose of stop valves is to block a volume flow in one direction and allow free flow in the opposite direction. They are often used to protect pumps. For certain applications, e.g. protection against lowering a load, these valves are designed to be unlockable; the blocking can be released by control pressure.

Pressure valves

Pressure relief valves are used to influence the system pressure in a system in a specific, pre-selectable manner. The primary function of pressure relief valves is to limit the pressure in a system and thus protect the individual components and lines of the system from overload. Pressure reducing valves maintain the set outlet pressure in one branch of the system and at the same time protect the consumer from overload. Pressure cut-off valves are used in storage circuits.

Flow control valves

Valves for controlling or regulating a volume flow. They are therefore used to control the speed of cylinders and motors. A distinction is made between Throttle valves: Are pressure-dependent. Volume flow Q is dependent on the ∆p of the throttle point. Flow control valves: Are pressure-independent. Volume flow Q remains almost constant at different load pressures. This flow rate control is achieved by an additional pressure compensator.

Lowering brake valves

The lowering brake valves enable safe movement regulation of the load in the event that a negative load force accelerates the system force, e.g. when lowering a load using lifting equipment, reels, etc.

Proportional valves

Proportional valves enable continuous volume flow or pressure control. An important component of the valve is the electronic control unit, which is mounted directly in a housing on the valve or separately in the control cabinet. Our entire portfolio of proportional valves can be controlled via CANopen.

Logic valves

Depending on the type of logic valve and how it is used in the hydraulic circuit, logic valves allow control of pressure, flow and flow direction even in applications where flow rates exceed the limits of conventional cartridge valves. Logic valves can be used as a pressure compensator, pilot operated pressure valve or pilot operated directional control valve, reducing the size, cost and complexity of hydraulic manifolds.
